What we collect when you visit Wavo TV or order a pass, and how we keep it safe.
This policy explains how Wavo TV handles personal information when you visit our website, contact us or order a subscription. We collect as little as possible and only what we need to deliver and support your service, in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
We never see or store full card numbers or online-banking passwords. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers that encrypt every transaction. We only receive a transaction reference, the payment status and the date and time of payment.
We do not track or record which channels, films, series or events you watch. Server data is only looked at in total, to manage network load and bandwidth and to stop abuse — never to build a profile of you.
Our website uses basic functional cookies for navigation, caching and remembering your preferences. We may also look at anonymous, combined traffic statistics such as browser type, region and time on page to make the site faster. You can switch cookies off in your browser and the site will still work.
We do not sell, rent or trade your name, phone number, email address or payment records — not to advertisers, marketers or anyone else. We only share what is necessary with the providers that help us run the service, such as our payment and hosting providers, and WhatsApp when you message us.
We keep account and activation records while your subscription is active, so we can support you and handle renewals. When your subscription ends, you can ask us to delete your messages, device registrations (such as a MAC address) and contact details. We may keep basic payment records where the law requires it.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Privacy questions and deletion requests go to our WhatsApp help desk, open 24/7.
